Hello everyone! Welcome to Game Review!
This will be a type of post I will write occasionally.
As you can see, today we are covering the topic of Fortnite. (7-13 year olds click off now)
So lets establish a list of thing to critique this game- and future games- with.
- Animations
- Music
- Balance
- Texture Quality
- Fandom
So, lets start off simple. Animations.
The games animations are pretty okay. They are mostly consistent and flow very well. How ever, switching between guns really fast creates some glitches (to be expected, most weapons have to be pulled out differently) The Orange Justice Emote however, has an annoying pause right as the character is going up. It doesn’t freeze or anything, just the animation doesn’t look real.
Next.. Music
The music isn’t really that bad, but does get stuck in your head. It loops over and over when doing an emote. The music used to be a lot better, in my opinion, back when the game first came out. It felt more fitting.
Next! Balance.
The weapons…. Are really not the most balanced things ever. With the start of Season 5, they removed the ability to use double shotgun and started added more SMGs, the most annoying class of weapon. Since then, pros have had to change to a more primal meta and spraying and praying but with accuracy. At this point Epic Games are basically Catering to their noobier audience. Now, me, and experienced players, can die super quickly because the noob whose super bad is just spraying me with SMGs and if I don’t have one also, I die. Game over.
NEXT. Texture quality.
This one is gonna be shorter. The texture quality is kinda a 5 on a scale of 1 to 10. Some of the textures are really whack and look terrible, like the armpits on the default drift skin. Either it’s really bad lighting or just trash textures.
Last and final point.. Fandom.
Lets be honest they’re all 9 year olds who watch Ali-a and his trash content. HE’S NOT EVEN GOOD. Ever seen that clip where Nick Eh 30 is doing fill duos and the fill is a kid who says hes better than Ali-a? That’s the fandom right there. 9 year olds. That includes Ali-a. He’s a part of his fandom. The fandom also consists of people yelling at epic games to add this or add that or bring back double shotgun.
FINAL OPINION ON FORTNITE…
IT’S TRASSHHHH.
Well, not really. It really depends on who you are and your own opinion. If you’ve never played the game and you’re gonna judge it based on someone elses opinion, go play it first and make your own assumptions.
